Cookie & Similar Technologies Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This Cookie & Similar Technologies Policy explains how TUN Digital Ltd, trading as TechDash ("TechDash", "we", "us" or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites.
It applies to:
- techdash.com and other TechDash marketing pages, including the customer account area at /account and /login.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
TechDash is operated by:
TUN Digital Ltd t/a TechDash
Company number: 13464714
Registered in England and Wales
Registered office: 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London,

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, phone or other device when you visit a website.
They can be used for purposes such as:
- keeping you signed in;
- remembering settings;
- securing websites and accounts;
- detecting bots, fraud and abuse;
- processing payments; and
- measuring how websites are used.
UK rules also apply to other technologies that store information on, or access information from, your device. These can include:
- local storage;
- session storage;
- scripts and tags;
- pixels; and
- similar browser technologies.
For simplicity, we refer to these technologies collectively as "cookies" in this policy unless the context requires otherwise.
3. Our approach to cookies
We aim to minimise the use of cookies and tracking technologies.
In particular:
- we do not use Google Analytics on the main TechDash marketing website;
- we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies;
- we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles;
- we do not sell information collected through cookies; and
- our main website analytics are provided using Fathom Analytics, which does not use cookies.
Some cookies are nevertheless necessary for security, account functionality and payments.
Additional cookies may also be used when you sign in or pay, because those flows use first-party account cookies and Stripe checkout.
4. Fathom Analytics
We use Fathom Analytics to understand the overall use of the TechDash marketing website.
Fathom is a privacy-focused analytics service designed to provide aggregate website statistics without using cookies.
It allows us to understand information such as:
- the number of visits to our website;
- which pages are viewed;
- referring websites;
- broad geographical information;
- device and browser types; and
- general website usage trends.
Fathom does not place analytics cookies on your device through our implementation.
We use this information to understand how our website is performing and how we can improve it.
5. Strictly necessary, security and fraud-prevention cookies
Some cookies are required to deliver, secure or protect services that you request.
These may be set without prior consent where permitted by applicable law.
They include technologies used for:
- website and account security;
- bot detection;
- fraud prevention;
- authentication;
- session management;
- payment processing; and
- maintaining the operation of services you request.
Blocking these cookies may prevent parts of TechDash's websites or account services from functioning correctly.
6. Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare to provide security, performance and bot protection for TechDash websites.
Cloudflare may place security cookies when you visit a TechDash website.
These may include:
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
Helps Cloudflare distinguish legitimate visitors from automated or malicious traffic | Approximately 30 minutes after inactivity |
cf_clearance |
Records that a visitor has successfully passed a Cloudflare security or browser challenge, where such a challenge is used | Varies according to the security configuration |
Cloudflare cookies are used to help:
- detect malicious automated traffic;
- prevent abuse;
- protect the availability of our websites; and
- distinguish legitimate requests from suspicious activity.
These cookies are not used by TechDash for advertising or website analytics.
The particular Cloudflare cookies used may vary depending on the security protections triggered during your visit.
7. The TechDash account area
The customer account area lives on techdash.com at /login and /account.
We use first-party cookies to:
- bind a login-link request to the browser that asked for it
(
td_ml, one hour); - keep you signed in after a successful magic-link login
(
td_session, 30 days); - prevent unauthorised access; and
- secure your account.
These cookies are HttpOnly session cookies set by TechDash. They are strictly necessary to provide the account functionality you request and may be used without consent where permitted by law.
Login forms are protected with Cloudflare Turnstile, which is a bot challenge rather than a cookie-based analytics tool.
8. Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments and to provide the customer billing portal.
When you interact with checkout or billing on techdash.com, Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes including:
- payment processing;
- fraud detection;
- transaction risk assessment;
- security; and
- preventing automated or fraudulent transactions.
Common Stripe cookies may include:
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid |
Fraud prevention and transaction risk assessment | Up to 1 year |
__stripe_sid |
Fraud prevention and transaction risk assessment during a browsing session | Approximately 30 minutes |
Stripe may use additional cookies or storage technologies depending on the payment method, checkout flow and security checks being performed.
These technologies are controlled by Stripe and may change over time.
Stripe's fraud-prevention technologies are used to protect both customers and TechDash from fraudulent payments and abuse.
9. Statistical analytics and UK cookie rules
UK law contains an exemption that can apply to certain technologies used solely to produce aggregate statistics about how a service or website is used for the purpose of improving it.
Where we rely on this exemption, the technology will be used only within the scope permitted by law and users will be given clear information and a simple, free means of objecting.
Where an analytics technology does not meet the requirements of an applicable exemption, we will obtain consent where required before using it.
10. Advertising and marketing cookies
TechDash does not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising, retargeting or cross-site advertising.
We do not use cookies to:
- follow you across unrelated websites;
- build advertising audiences;
- sell advertising profiles; or
- show personalised advertisements.
If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required before using the relevant technologies.
11. First-party and third-party cookies
Some cookies are set directly on TechDash domains.
Others may be set or accessed by third-party providers whose technology we use, including:
- Cloudflare; and
- Stripe.
Those providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
We choose third-party providers to perform particular functions, but we do not control every technical change those providers make to their cookies.
As a result, cookie names, purposes and durations may occasionally change.
We periodically review the cookies and technologies used on our websites and update this policy where appropriate.
12. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies using your web browser.
Most browsers allow you to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete individual or all cookies;
- block cookies;
- block third-party cookies; and
- configure how websites are permitted to use cookies.
Please be aware that blocking cookies that are required for authentication, payments, fraud prevention or security may prevent parts of techdash.com from working correctly.
Where we use optional technologies that require consent or provide an applicable right to object, we will provide an appropriate mechanism for exercising that choice.
13. Do I need to accept cookies to use TechDash?
You do not need to accept advertising cookies to use TechDash because we do not use them.
The main TechDash marketing website uses Fathom Analytics without analytics cookies.
Some security and functional technologies are necessary to provide services such as:
- securely accessing your account;
- detecting bots;
- preventing fraud; and
- processing payments.
These necessary technologies may operate automatically where permitted by law.
Optional analytics technologies, where present, are treated separately.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if:
- the services we use change;
- a provider changes its cookies;
- we introduce or remove website functionality; or
- legal requirements change.
The latest version will always show the date it was last updated.
