Change the Health Report time range
Switch chart history between days, months, and years.

Use the segmented control at the top of Health Report to switch every website chart between Days, Months, and Years. The default is Days.
The selection changes how TechDash groups stored daily history. It does not change the current Health Score card, the underlying incidents, or the order of websites.
What each range shows
Days
Days creates up to 30 daily points, ending today. Labels use the local day and abbreviated month, such as 20 Aug.
Each Advisory, Warning, and Critical value is the number of incident openings for that local calendar day. Health Score is the stored daily score, except today's point uses the current live score.
Use Days to examine a recent release, outage, migration, or sudden score movement.
Months
Months creates up to 12 calendar-month points, including the current month. Labels include month and year.
TechDash sums incident openings within each month, then divides by the number of relevant calendar days in that bucket. The displayed value is an average per day rounded to one decimal place. The Health Score point is the average of available daily scores, rounded to a whole number.
For the current month, only days through today are included. If the website was added during a month, days before its creation are excluded from that month's calculation.
Use Months to see whether incident activity is becoming more or less frequent across releases and whether Health Score is improving over a longer period.
Years
Years creates up to five calendar-year points, including the current year. Incident and score values use the same aggregation method as Months, but across each year.
Use Years for a mature installation with enough local history to show long-term changes. A recently added website may show only the current year.
Why a selected range can show fewer points
The controls define maximum windows, not a promise that every bucket will exist. TechDash filters out buckets that ended before the website was added or before its oldest available daily snapshot.
History is stored locally. Daily health rows remain in the database, but the incident events used to reconstruct some historical data are retained for 90 days. The displayed report uses the available stored daily snapshots and does not invent older history.
If a daily snapshot is missing within the available range, TechDash inserts a zero for incident openings and carries the previous Health Score forward. Before any prior score exists, the carried value starts at 100. This fills an internal gap; it does not mean a check ran and found no issues that day.
Choose a range for the question
Use the shortest range that gives enough context:
- Choose Days to compare a change with the last few weeks.
- Choose Months to find recurring release patterns or sustained improvement.
- Choose Years to assess long-term portfolio health without daily noise.
Remember that monthly and yearly incident values are daily averages, not monthly or yearly totals. A value of 2.0 for a month means an average of two incident openings per relevant day, not two openings during the whole month.
The Health Score line is also an average in Months and Years. A month can therefore show an acceptable average even if it included a short severe drop. Switch back to Days to inspect that variation.
Changing the range applies to all website rows on the page. It is a display choice only, and reopening Health Report starts again on Days.
